Drilled piers are an effective method of stabilizing a foundation that is settling or moving laterally. Drilled piers are effective in a variety of soil conditions. Installing drilled piers involves drilling a shaft in the ground, installing a rebar cage in the shaft, and backfilling it with concrete. The drilled piers are connected to the foundation with a concrete cap and epoxy set rebar. Structures can be releveled using drilled piers by lifting the foundation before connecting the pier to the foundation.
